Fred Rose's 1971 Starlight Black GTO

I am the 4th owner of this 1971 GTO. It is a non-matching numbers car, But does have a 1971 Coded YE 455ci. HO engine of which only 1,231 where made. The specs on the engine are 325 gross(crank) horsepower @ 4800 RPM/ Net (wheel) horsepower of 310. Torque is 480lb/ft at 3600 RPM. Compression ratio is 8.4:1 with M-20 4-speed Manual Transmission and 3:55-ratio rear end.

Per the PHS sheet the car was equipped from the factory (Fremont CA. 4/20/71) with variable power steering, power front disc brakes, body side molding, four-speed transmission, tinted windows, body-color dual mirrors, and AM radio with rear speakers. It originally had air conditioning.

Either the first or second owner added Pontiac upgrades to the car which included a hood tach, formula steering wheel, front and rear stabilizer bars, rear wing, and 15x7 Honeycomb wheels which are all approved GTO options. A NOS AM/FM 4 speaker cassette stereo was added.
